With a BSc Hons in Materials Science, Alan Routledge joined the semiconductor industry in 1982 working in technical sales. He became the European Marketing Manager for the semiconductor division of General Signal, which operated 12 companies at that time, before establishing a European based sales and support company. His company operated across several sectors from semiconductors to medical, to data security, disaster recovery and other technical based offerings.
With the onset of the Internet, Alan worked as a consultant in many sectors often helping companies improve their sales and support offerings to their client base as well as introducing new products to market. With a strong base in the semiconductor industry. data security, and e-commerce, Alan established USED4semicon the first European based Internet brokerage company and focused on reducing costs and improving service level to the industry. He continues to develop new products to products and services to this day all of which are bundled under the U4Global Solutions legal entity.
